Why does FLYght Duo look smaller than other fly lights?
We have designed FLYght Duo to be compact and fit into spaces unobtrusively.
FLYght Duo traps are sleeker and smaller than other brands because Bentz Jaz engineers have intelligently designed the range to maximize UV illumination in limited space.
The size of the light trap has no bearing on the glue board catching area, as FLYght Duo uses the Universal Glue Board (UGB) that all other flycatchers use.
What is the size of FLYght Duo’s glue boards?
FLYght Duo’s glue boards are 418 mm X 283 mm. Please note that glue board manufacturers provide two glue boards with perforated edges. You should gently tear them to separate the two rectangular pieces.
Further, you should discard the thin (about 20 mm wide) extra strip between the two glue boards, as we do not have a place for it in the FLYght Duo.
Is FLYght Duo suitable for use in the food industry which has glass policies?
FLYght Duo is inherently glass-free as we use LEDs and do not have any glass fixtures in our trap.
Should we leave the FLYght Duo on throughout the day and night?
We have designed FLYght Duo Traps for use 24/7X365 to attract and trap insects during the day or night.
Is FLYght Duo wall mounted?
Yes, we have designed FLYght Duo for placement where you can find an adequate mounting point.
Though you can fix FLYght Duo traps on walls, you can also place them on shelves or tabletops. Our studies found that FLYght Duo traps perform best in attracting insects when placed 150 cm (5 ft.) above ground level.
How frequently do you replace the glue boards?
The glue board replacement frequency depends on the glue board's condition. You should replace it when it is full of flies or once every forty days. We do not recommend a standard frequency for glue board replacement.
UV in light traps ‘cures’ the glue on glue boards, making them less sticky. Airborne dust and other particles settle on glue boards to further reduce their stickiness.
Glue board manufacturers recommend replacing the glue boards no later than 40 days after placing them in the FLYght Duo UV LED light trap.
In a FLYght Duo trap, the glue boards are placed without facing the UV source, reducing the UV's curing effect on the glue board's stickiness. The longer period between two changes of glue boards is another benefit of using FLYghtDuo.
What is the warranty period of the trap?
Bentz Jaz gives a two (2) year warranty on the entire FLYght Duo Fly Light from the date of purchase.
What does Bentz Jaz do in case the unit malfunctions?
Bentz Jaz assists the customer to have a functional trap by first investigating the malfunction. After that, Bentz Jaz shall send the required component or replace the entire unit, depending on the issue.

Our trap emits UV-A, which scientists have found NOT harmful to humans for infrequent exposure.
The FLYght Duo traps do not emit harmful UV. All UV emitted in them is UV-A, which scientists consider safe.
How do we handle the breakdown maintenance of the trap?
Please check and ensure the FLYght Duo trap has a functional power connection. If it still does not light up, don't hesitate to contact your distributor, who can arrange a spare or trap replacement in coordination with Bentz Jaz.
Do we need to keep the trap on only during the day?
No, we recommend you switch on FLYght Duo 24x7 as the trap attracts and traps flying insects on its glueboards during the day or night.
Where do you install the FLYght Duo traps in a factory?
Instal FLYght Duo traps close to all entry points and close to areas in the business where you see flies congregate.
Please ensure that the traps you place near entry points are not visible from the outside, as you do not want to attract flies inside.
When placing FLYght Duo traps, ensure no other UV or visible light source is next to the trap. You can fix the trap on walls 150 cm (5 ft.) above the floor.
What is the material of construction of FLYght Duo?

How do we know that the UV LEDs last for 50,000 hours?
Bentz Jaz sources LEDs from the world’s best manufacturer of such products. All LEDs of that manufacturer, whether ordinary or UV LEDs, last 50000 hours.
The UV LED manufacturer has provided us with published data that their UV LEDs uniformly generate UV throughout 50,000 operating hours.

Does FLYght Duo attract fruit flies?
No, we do not recommend FLYght Duo to monitor fruit flies.
Fruit flies have compound eyes that do not have a positive phototactic response to UV, like houseflies. Therefore, you cannot attract fruit flies in FLYgth Duo traps.
You should consider using odor attractants to lure and trap fruit flies.
